I "love" it when people are like "the only two possible outcomes of copyright reform are 1) tech companies can take and freely use anything you post online, or 2) Disney can sue you for drawing any mouse." Particularly the implied stance that we should let OpenAI et al do whatever they want because our end goal is copyright abolition.

There's lots of in-betweens. I kinda wonder if simply limiting the term of copyright to, like, 10 years would do enough.

Just roll back copyright law to 1800. You get fourteen years. If the copyright holder is a living person, they can renew it for another fourteen years. That's it.
