for all the years i've played the official translation of genpei toumaden, i never noticed that the skeleton boss' line is untranslated

he's literally the first boss???

you can tell this is the localized one because the numbers are latin

he actually says a couple of different things, i just can't get the other dialogue option to happen now

okay this isn't that but i remembered reading if you had 75 zeni you could jump into the blood lake when falling into yomi and it fucking warps you to kyoto (the first/only? permanent continue point in the game)

It seems what he speaks may be directly referencing a line from the start of the Heart Sutra.

This phrase seems to commonly translated along the lines of 'form is no different to emptiness', although it's a Buddhist text so it is not something I really know how much about.

@SyringeAndRechiyah would make sense considering some of the historical background of this game (specifically the tale of the heike, about the genpei war)
