i should heavily consider installing SA2B just to fuck with chao garden mods

SA2B is installed
SA mod manager is installed, and functioning

but SA2B itself seems to be having weird game speed issues, fuckin' yayyyy

i mean the first big hint to the game speed is wrong was the overlay video during the intro cutscene that shows all the funky effects is playing at a normal speed but the actual cutscene it's playing over is slower

and then the cutscene before city escape had complete and total silence while sonic plummeted to the ground because the cutscene's music had already ended

and then we saw that the in-game timer during city escape was also running slow

the difference between mods being loaded and running the game normally is almost nothing so i gotta fiddle with some shit

i have no idea if i fixed it, it just seems better suddenly

60hz settings on the vanilla launcher and FPS lock on SAMM don't seem to make too much of a difference, i swear it's running ever so slightly below and fucking with the cutscene timing

in fact the best results seem to come from disabling the FPS lock in SAMM

how would one enable vsync for SA2B in linux, every source says to enable it in the GPU software and my guess is for me it's some ENV value i have to set for the game's launch options
