Anova, a popular sous vide maker, will begin charging for their app starting August 21. Persons with an account before then will not have to pay the $2/month (or $10/year) fee.

@tango This is why I do not want "smart" appliances. If it needs an app to perform its core functions, I don't trust that it'll work long term.
